Hybrid Buses Coming to Tempe Arizona. The worlds largest order of hybrid-electric buses was recently placed by Tempe AZ. Several other communities are following suit. The city of Tempe ordered 31 Hybrid-Electric buses to supplement seven battery electric buses already in operation in Tempe. Miami Beach has seven electric buses in operation and Tampa, Fl has 9 hybrid-electric buses on order. AVS of Chattanooga, TN is one of the major supplier of these environmental friendly buses.
