TH!NK CITY EV's IN THE BAY AREA There are 18 Th!nk City EV's in the Bay Area. Marty Benard, http://www.stncar.com coordinator, has three which he lends to organizations (private and public fleets) for testing and evaluation. Hertz has 15 for both their station car program at the BART Fremont Station and for renting to the general public at Fishermans Wharf. The city of Palo Alto and Stanford University each have approached Hertz to lease one of the 15. They are powered by water cooled NiCad batteries.
